CEWE wins TIPA World Award, Best Photo Service

The TIPA World Awards are the world’s most sought-after accolade for photo and imaging products. We’re thrilled to have been awarded the 2023 TIPA World Award for Best Photo Service for the sixth consecutive year and seventh time in our history, something no other company has ever achieved!

What are the TIPA World Awards?

TIPA are the Technical Image Press Association, a global panel of experts in the photo and imaging industry. The TIPA panel are renowned for their trustworthy appraisals and expertise.

Every year the panel meet to discuss, nominate and vote for the very best photography products, honouring around fifty products from the world of photography each year.

The TIPA Award rewards innovation, technological advances, design, ergonomics, ease of use and value for money. Award categories are not fixed and change every year according to the latest market developments.

Our new personalised slipcase for the XL Square CEWE PHOTOBOOK received a coveted TIPA World Award in 2022. As the winner of the "Best Photo Service" category, you can expect fantastic quality from your personalised slipcase. It's designed to keep your XL Square CEWE PHOTOBOOK safe and secure. Our 2021 TIPA World Award for 'Best Photo Service' was awarded in honour of our new A2 Calendar with Gold Highlights. Available in portrait or landscape, our A2 Wall Calendar with Gold Highlights is printed on high-quality, matte paper with a non-reflective surface and adds truly special finish.

The CEWE Photostation was awarded the “Best Retail Finishing System Worldwide” title in 2021 for both intuitive ease of ordering and the wide range of products on offer. The CEWE Photostation is available in selected Boots stores, allowing instant prints across a wide range of premium products.

Our 2020 award was won for our new Leather and Linen CEWE PHOTOBOOK covers. Our leather covers, available in classic black, marbled brown or contemporary white, add a traditional style of a vintage photo album, while our fine woven linen covers available in white, grey or cobalt blue, add a modern and unique tactile feel.

Our 2019 award recognises our hexxas photo tiles, with the TIPA panel commending the innovative approach to displaying your photos, stating that “home and office image displays now have a new concept with the tile arrangement”. The quality of hexxas was also recognised, with the panel adding “each hexagonal tile in the display is made of high-quality rigid foam board with images printed on the board using UV resistant inks.”

In 2018, TIPA praised our range of CEWE PHOTOBOOK cover types, particularly our Highlights. These additions were admired as a way to “instantly give your CEWE PHOTOBOOK that extra special finishing touch.” The panel were also impressed by our guided creation process which “makes book selection and creation easy.”

Our 2008 award was in honour of our photo books. The panel chose CEWE as the Best Photo Service in the Photofinishing category, with a special commendation for our flagship product, the CEWE PHOTOBOOK.
