What Are Photo Book Highlights?

You may have already heard us talk a lot about Highlights, but what exactly are they?

When you create a CEWE PHOTOBOOK with a hardback, faux leather or linen cover, you have the option to add premium Highlights to your text, frames and Clipart. Highlights are a luxurious effect available in a stunning metallic gold, rose gold, silver or clear gloss that is embossed over a colour of your choice. This means that when you run your hand over the cover, you’ll feel your text and other design elements with Highlights raised against the background. Plus, it will shine beautifully in the light too, making your photo book truly eye-catching in more ways than one.

Embossed photo album covers are often used for special occasions, such as wedding photo albums, baby photo books, photo yearbooks, and travel photo books. Regardless of what you wish to put in your CEWE PHOTOBOOK, Highlights are a beautiful finishing touch that will result in an aesthetic embossed photo album that you’ll never want to put away.

What Can I Add Highlights To?

As mentioned, you’ll need to choose a hardback cover when designing your CEWE PHOTOBOOK in order to have the option of adding Highlights. Once selected, you can add Highlights to your text, Clipart and Frames. Identifying which Clipart and Frames are available with Highlights is really easy in our Creator Software – just look out for the blue diamond icon, which can also be found in the toolbar menu in the centre of your screen. You can also use the dropdown menu to only show Clipart available with Highlights. Once a design element has Highlights added, you will be able to see it shine in the software

Remember that you can only pick one colour option for Highlights on your CEWE PHOTOBOOK – choose from gold, rose gold, silver or gloss to create a stunning embossed photo album cover. It’s the perfect finishing touch, especially to complete a thoughtful gift for your loved ones (or if you feel a bit fancy!)
